Ok, so sweat is something we all deal with big or small.
If you are hot you sweat, getting a good sweat on is part of working out. But here is where it is different for us when we are bigger:
Sweat and rolls. (for me, thats a lot of sweat in my rolls)
Sweat under your gut, in between your legs, under your ass cheeks, sweaty crotches
and ladies: boob sweat.
Its going to happen, once you start moving you are going to sweat and you cant stop it, BUT there are some things you can do that really help.

Drink LOTS of waterall the sweat you lose needs replacement. If you are dripping from all places you need to hydrate. Dehydrating is dangerous! Its real. If you are a sweater bring extra water.

Wear a buff, a sweatband or a hatkeep it out of your eyes and from dripping down your face and head. Also all three of these things protect your head from the sun.
|
Powders, antichaffing cream and towels. Its not pretty, if that sweat stays there long enough you will have some painful rashes and raw skin to deal with. So try powders or anti-chaffing cream and don't be afraid to take a towel and wipe down some areas if you are really sweaty. Clean and dry! Dark sweaty hot places with friction can easily get infected.
|
Avoid plant based fabrics IE Cotton.Go for polyesters, wool and specialty quick dry fabrics. Not only to the help repel the sweat, they dry fast and also are bacteria resistant so you don't smell...as much :) Cotton hold so much liquid and doesn't dry quickly.

TRUE STORY:
on my trek of the west coast trail by the third day the skin between the fold in my gut had rubbed itself raw, literally pulling the skin off. OUCH!! That took a week to heal and all you can do is keep it clean and dry. It hurts.
Have a way to dry off, clean up, reduce friction.

So its not sweat but one more thing: you are big. your body will get in the way sometimes
On the West Coast Trail there are a lot of ladders, ha! I knew they would be hard, maybe scary but I did not foresee that I was going to catch my gut and my boobs on every rail.
Sometimes I am doing yoga and cant do the whole twist, or man a burpee? hard enough but when your stomach is saggy and keeping you from the full pop up that can be frustrating.
Some days I am scrunched up climbing or in yoga and my boobs are crushed up into my face, a little smotherly right??
Try not to let this frustrate you too much and be where you are. Start everything with your own body, not the one you wish you had and honour what your body is currently doing for you. Everyone has something that holds them back a little, maybe your current state will not allow you to do some things but instead of focusing on that focus on what you can do (like i bet your legs are a lot stronger than you thought) and what the work arounds are. (learn the alternative movements that accommodate) I have faith in you! Just be with it, know that you are currently working on making it all work better. Know that nobody can do everything, everyone has an accommodation they must account for. And know that where it is hard there is growth.
Just smile because you are there! Getting squished by yourself because you are challenging yourself! Love it!!!
